Graduate Mechanical / Marine Engineer

With our state of the art design and manufacturing resources, our dedicated team of designers, craftsmen and technician, we create internationally award winning vessels of uncompromising style, quality and precision.

We seek a proactive Graduate Engineer who has a strong interest in the marine industry, a focus on quality, and desire to excel in a multidisciplinary environment.

The successful applicant will develop as an Engineer to become an integral part of a highly skilled and specialised design team, working in close conjunction with an equally skilled and specialised production team.

Responsibilities

Graduates at Hanseatic assist the experienced team members with their daily tasks such as:

Calculations to Classification Society rules and regulations
Design and drafting of engineering piping
schematics
Management of integrated mechanical equipment lists
Design and specification of mechanical systems and equipment
Generation of technical scopes of supply for
procurement
Development of company standards and quality systems
Communicating designs to production teams and drawing from their experience


Prerequisites

Engineering Degree, Graduate Diploma or similar qualifications
Keen interest in manufacturing, likely to enjoy working on their own home projects
Strong desire to develop theoretical skills in a practical manufacturing environment
Open mind to learn from experienced design and production personnel
Effective communication skills with varying
personalities
Ability to work as a team, and to work
independently, knowing when to seek guidance
Good computer literacy, and a keen interest in 2D & 3D CAD and advanced design
